The École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers is a prestigious engineering school. It has trained over 85,000 engineers since its foundation in 1780 by the Duke of Rochefoucauld Liancourt. It is a "Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional institution"​ (EPCSCP) under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
