The University of Cumbria, ranked in the top 40% of institutions worldwide according to The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking, has a long and prestigious history of delivering first-class higher education in and around Cumbria. Formed in 2007, the University of Cumbria was created from three institutions: Cumbria Institute of the Arts, St Martin’s College and UCLan’s Cumbria sites including its campus at Newton Rigg.
