In the Tasikmalaya Level II Regional District, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Padjadjaran University in Bandung, the Faculty of Extension Law at Padjadjaran University in Bandung, and the Bandung Institute of Teacher Training and Education, Tasikmalaya Extension. In 1975 a Government Regulation was issued which did not allow the establishment of branches of State Universities in the Regions, so that the two branches of the State Universities had operational operations closed in stages.
