The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual (Italian, German and English), internationally oriented institution. It is a non-state funded university, granted authority to confer university degrees by the Italian state. The Faculties: Faculty of Economics and Management Faculty of Education Faculty of Design and Art Faculty of Computer Science Faculty of Science and Technology Almost all of the degree courses at the faculties are trilingual. The teaching languages are Italian, German and English.
