About

The Sumatra Institute of Technology (abbreviated ITERA) is a public university located in Lampung Province. Its location is between South Lampung Regency and Bandar Lampung City. ITERA was established based on Presidential Regulation No. 124 of 2014 concerning the Establishment of the Sumatra Institute of Technology (2014 State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 253) established by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on October 6, 2014 and promulgated on October 9, 2014. Although the inauguration took place in 2014, Itera has started academic activities by accepting new students since 2012-2013. Besides ITB and ITS, with the opening of ITERA and the Kalimantan Institute of Technology, the Indonesian government now has four technology institutes.
