State Polytechnic of Malang, was previously known as Education Program of Engineering Diploma, University of Brawijaya. It was established by the Government of Indonesia based on the Decree of Director of General of Higher Education, Minister of Education and Culture No. 03 / DJ / Kep / 1979 and supported by World Bank fund and Switzerland’s experts. In 1982, structure of organization of Non-Degree Faculty of Technology, Brawijaya University was regulated by the Decree of President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 59 of 1982. Afterwards, it began to accept first class of students in 4 (four) departments, namely Department of Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. In 1986, it opened three more departments. They were Department of Telecommunications Engineering, Department of Accounting and the Business Administration Department. Department of Accounting and Department of Business Administration were supported by Australian Experts through The Australian Project. Afterwards, it opened Chemical Engineering Department in 1987. In 2004, Polytechnic of Brawijaya University obtained an independent status with the name of State Polytechnic of Malang (POLINEMA) based on Minister of Education Decree No. 147 / O / 2004,
