The University of Palangka Raya (Indonesian: Universitas Palangka Raya, UPR) was established on November 10, 1963. It is the first and the oldest state university in Central Kalimantan. UPR consists of seven faculties: Education, Economics and Business, Agriculture, Engineering, Law, Social and Political Science, and Medicine. Currently, the rector is Dr Andrie Elia, SE., M.Si,[1] who is also the General Chair (Ketua Harian) of the Board of Dayak Culture (Dewan Adat Dayak; DAD). It is ranked 67th out of Universities in the Republic of Indonesia, and is accredited B grade by the National Higher Education Accreditation Board (BAN-PT)
